Growing up and learning through play

We enhance your child’s early childhood development by introducing new skills and growing self-esteem through positive play and discovery. We help them grow their cultural awareness by developing their awareness to diversity, using Te Reo and fostering knowledge of tangata whenua and tikanga Māori.

Exploring the big wide world

New experiences to extend understanding of the world around them grow the mind and develop knowledge and curiosity in your little explorer. Regular trips into the Manawatū community in our Learn A Lot Kindy Kidz Van are part of our programme. One of our weekly trips is to Manawatū GymSports where children get the opportunity to develop their fine and gross motor skills through jumping, climbing, rolling, and walking on the beam.

Child-led learning

We recognize young children’s needs to develop their abilities to become independent and the desire to begin to guide their own learning experiences and outcomes. We value your child’s strengths, interests and abilities and develop learning opportunities that cater to their interests.

Prepare for school

Our Fab Fours prepare for school programme helps develop independence in your child before they leave the safety of our childcare centre and make the next step towards becoming a big school kid.

The programme encourages:

  • Self-help: taking control of lunchboxes and management of rubbish

  • Taking responsibility: putting away and collecting bags, taking jackets/jerseys off and on by themselves, putting on their shoes

  • Developing independence: Learning to follow kindy routines independently

  • Strengthening social and emotional development: playing games with others

  • Early numeracy and literacy skills: learning to read and write
