Our Story
Learn A Lot Kindy Kidz is a centrally located Childcare centre offering childhood education and care for children from three months to six years old. Established in 2008 by Kellie Carr, a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, Learn A Lot Kindy Kidz prides itself on its whanaungatanga—kinship, and close connection between staff, whānau and children.
Stay connected
We record your child’s time at Learn A Lot Kindy Kidz through learning stories and photos, so you will not miss out on important moments in your child’s progress. You can revisit your child’s experiences with them through their online portfolio called Educa and talk with them about the time they spend with us. Additionally, you can share stories from home to this portfolio to help your child form strong connections between home and kindy.
Qualified teachers
We have a skilled, fun, and enthusiastic team here to provide guidance based on positive experiences that nurture and extend your child. With many years of experience in early childhood care between them, the team at Learn A Lot Kindy Kidz works together to bring the best education, care and support possible to your little one, so you can feel happy knowing they are in expert hands.
We take care of your kidz

We care about the environment
Healthy heart award
We want our future generations to grow up in a healthy and safe environment. We model and encourage environmentally friendly practices, including being involved in the ‘Paper for Trees’ waste minimisation programme, so that your little ones will know how to do their part in keeping our environment healthy.
We are working towards achieving a Heart Foundation Healthy Heart Award. The Healthy Heart Award: Tohu Manawa Ora is awarded to early childhood education centres where challenges with healthy eating and physical activity are being addressed and healthy habits promoted. Find out more here.
Little green thumbs
We help children connect with their natural environment and understand where their food comes from. As well as providing edible gardening opportunities at our centre we also take trips to Delta Gardens to dig potatoes and pick peas to eat at Christmas time. Connecting with food through nurturing and growing can help children learn about healthy eating and nutrition.
